Welcome to Star Trail!

May we introduce to you Star Trail 2009, Bournemouth’s longest running talent competition, this year to be held at the prestigious 900 capacity PIER THEATRE, Bournemouth, celebrating its 50th Anniversary.

Star Trail is now in its 25th year and will take place on Sunday nights (plus one Thursday) from 12th July until 30th August. Please see Application Form for full list of dates. Over the years the show has produced several entertainers who discovered and showcased their talent and now work professionally in holiday venues, corporate events, cruises and television.

One of Star Trail’s winners, Damon, reached the Grand Final of Britain’s Got Talent. With a prize fund of £1000 and judged by celebrated professionals in the media and entertainment industries, the show has been seen by thousands of people who have voted for their favourite acts through the Audience Vote Award.

This year, the contest incorporates two age ranges 8-15 years and 16 plus at every show (1st half – Juniors, 2nd half – Adults). We are looking for any type of act including speciality, vocalists, dancers, duo’s, instrumentalists, etc. to perform at the Pier Theatre where full stage and lighting facilities will be available to showcase your act in the best possible professional surroundings. We are hoping for celebrity judges at our Final in order to attract substantially more media attention and we are very proud this year to be supporting and raising money for a very special charity ‘Help for Heroes’.

Help for Heroes does wonderful work for soldiers and other servicemen and women both directly and through its support of other service charities and for more information can be found at www.helpforheroes.org.uk.

There is a £10 per act entry fee, which has traditionally been charged to attract serious entrants and is used towards staging and production. For application into Star Trail 2009 please us the registration page.
